DISINFO: British intelligence and Ukrainian Nazis behind the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall
SUMMARY

RESPONSE
Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative depicting Ukraine as a terrorist Nazi regime and establishing an unsubstantial and unfounded connection with the British intelligence service. These claims were made in connection with the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack in Moscow, trying to link Ukraine and the UK to the terrorist attacks in Russia without presenting any evidence.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for and shared video footage from the attacks, corroborating their claims of responsibility.
Kyiv strongly denied any involvement in the assault on the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk.
Iran had also warned Moscow a few days before of an imminent attack by ISIS based on information obtained from arrested ISIS terrorists in Iran.
U.S officials have intelligence that the Islamic State group's Afghan affiliate, IS-Khorasan, is responsible for the Moscow attack. “ISIS bears sole responsibility for this attack. There was no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever,” White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement.
Even Putin himself acknowledged late on 25 March that Islamists were committing the attack.
Regarding the claim about Nazism, the Allies’ victory in the Second World War in 1945 put an end to Nazism in Europe. All relics of neo-Nazi sentiment and anti-Semitism are being relentlessly combated in Europe and the United States (see here and here). The European Union was set up with the aim of ending the frequent and bloody wars between neighbours, which culminated in the Second World War. In 2012, the EU was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for advancing the causes of peace, reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.
The myth of Nazi-ruled Ukraine has been the cornerstone of Russian disinformation about the country since the very beginning of the 2013-14 Euromaidan protests, when it was used to discredit the pro-European popular uprising in Kyiv and, subsequently, the broader pro-Western shift in Ukraine's foreign policy. It has been widely addressed here. Nazi and Communist ideologies were banned by Ukrainian law in 2015.
