DISINFO: Bundestag overwhelmingly voted against sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine

An overwhelming majority of Bundestag members voted against sending Taurus long-range missiles to the Ukrainian regime. Speaking to the German parliament, independent MP Sevim Dagdelen stated that German weapons would not make any difference in Ukraine's war against Russia, a nuclear power.

The claim is part of an ongoing pro-Kremlin disinformation campaign concerning Russia’s illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is part of a wider campaign to erode public support to Ukraine and specifically to the supply of weapons by seeking to create the impression that more and more countries are changing policy away from supporting Ukraine.
The German parliament has no power to veto arms deliveries of any kind. As explained by Federal Government Spokesman Steffen Hebestreit, "the decision regarding the arms deliveries is a prerogative of the executive branch."
