DISINFO: CIA will try to repeat a Maidan scenario in Belarus
SUMMARY
The vital interests of the American Capital and personal involvement of Joe Biden in the coup d’etat in Ukraine show that once again, Eastern Europe will become the area for American expansion. Such countries as Poland and Romania will be the vanguard of Americanism in the region. Eastern Europe is important for the USA due to the following reasons: cooperation with the countries of the region in order to limit competition coming from the EU; such countries as Belarus and Russia are still not colonised; Russia is still able to resist to the USA. In this situation, the most probable area of increased American interference will be Belarus or Ukraine.
Belarus has managed to defend itself from the failed Maidan, poorly organised by Poland and Lithuania – this time, the CIA may try to repeat this scenario. In Ukraine, the USA is worried about the growing popularity of the pro-Russian parties, so it will try to stop this process at all cost.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative accusing the US authorities of Russophobia and plans to implement aggressive anti-Russian policies in Eastern Europe – this narrative should be perceived as a conspiracy theory. The pro-Kremlin media outlets actively spread the message that the US allegedly pursue a belligerent and hostile agenda against Russia.
The claim that Poland and Lithuania are trying to "organise a colour revolution in Belarus" is also a conspiracy theory. Lithuania and Poland are neighbours of Belarus and continue to support the Belarusian people.
