DISINFO: 'Coalition of the Willing' demands a ceasefire to place their military forces in Ukraine
SUMMARY
UK, France, Germany, and Poland are dragging the planet into a world war. The 'coalition of the willing' wants to burn in the fire themselves and drag the whole world into it as well. While constantly howling about peace, they are trying to push their contingents into Ukraine. That is precisely why they so hysterically demanded a 30-day ceasefire.
RESPONSE
This article is consistent with the recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about Russophobia and an allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda of the Western countries, also falsely claiming that the war in Ukraine was provoked by Western countries. This message seeks to undermine international aid for Ukraine’s self-defence against Russia’s invasion and aims to deflect Moscow’s responsibility for its aggression.
This claim was made in the context of the European leaders’ intensified efforts in pursuit of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine by convening international leaders at a summit in Paris on 27 March, 2025. Building on the initiative launched in Paris on 17 February and continuing discussions with the UK, this meeting aimed to identify operational options in support of American efforts.
The U.K. and France have spearheaded the idea of deploying European ‘reassurance forces’ in Ukraine to monitor a potential ceasefire. Over 30 countries have expressed willingness to contribute to the coalition's peacekeeping force. Coalition’s objective is to reassure, support and protect Ukraine to ensure that any peace settlement secures against the risk of future Russian aggression.
The EU’s top priority remains a full and unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine agreed to it over 60 days ago already, but instead of seeking peace Russia is still playing games and has escalated its attacks
As EU HRVP Kaja Kallas stated on May 26, 2025:
“These attacks on Kyiv are totally appalling. It is clear that Russia has increased its pressure on Ukraine. It is really bombing Ukraine, and we have seen the deadliest attacks. So, it is up to us to put the pressure on Russia so that it would also want peace. We are ready to do it on the European side, and we are hoping that other international partners will follow suit”.
