DISINFO: Conflicts in Ukraine and Israel are Western proxy wars

RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing US and the Western countries of direct involvement in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, and portraying Ukraine as Western puppet state, a "springboard" against Russia.
Russia is the only country responsible for the invasion of Ukraine. It has been coming up with different false explanations and pretexts for its aggression since the beginning of its hostilities.
Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity have been violated by continuous acts of aggression by Russian armed forces since 2014 culminating in a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine on 24th February 2022.
Ukraine and its population is defending itself against this armed aggression in a remarkable display of continued courage and determination. This is not a decision by NATO, Washington, the EU or others.
The events in the Middle East were triggered by Hamas attacks against Israel on 07 October 2023 and Israel’s military response.
By baselessly accusing the US of being behind these global events, this disinformation message promotes an anti-US mindset and aims to deny Russia’s responsibility for its brutal invasion of Ukraine.
