At the moment of the publication of this disinformation story, Ukraine was making progresses in the battlefield. While Russia advanced in eastern Ukraine around Pokrovsk, it was the only place of the frontline where Russia’s offensive was not stalled. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continued advancing in Kursk, consolidating its gains and establishing a military command center inside Russian territory. In two weeks, Ukrainian troops seized more land in Russia than Russian forces in Ukraine in all year. With this operation, Ukraine achieved a series of tactical and strategic victories, including a morale boost among its ranks.
Western countries have no say on who are Ukraine’s leaders or when they cease in such role. The Ukrainian government is elected by Ukrainian citizens in democratic elections.
