Historical revisionism in the context of migration situation at the EU-Belarus borders.
Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass) took place on November 9–10, 1938, when Nazi leaders unleashed a series of pogroms against the Jewish population in Germany and recently incorporated territories. Earlier, in late October of 1938, the Nazi regime ordered the arrest of around 17,000 Jews with Polish citizenship who were living in the German Reich. The Jews were then expelled and transported violently to the Polish border. Read more here.
The current situation at the EU-Belarusian borders cannot be compared with Nazi atrocities.
There is plenty of evidence that the Belarusian authorities have instigated the ongoing irregular migration flows to the EU borders via Belarus.
The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has stated that the situation on the EU-Belarus border is "the attempt of an authoritarian regime to try to destabilise its democratic neighbours". Similarly, High Representative Borrell has highlighted that the Lukashenka regime is weaponising human beings as a tool for political purposes by giving migrants false expectations and putting them in a situation of extreme vulnerability.
