Germany demands a repeal of the anti-Russian sanctions. Under the conditions of the corona crisis one must have the strength to get rid of what is not of the utmost importance.
RESPONSE
The claim is manipulative and misleading. The chairman of the German-Russian Forum and former Minister President of the federal state of Brandenburg, Mr. Matthias Platzeck, called for a lifting of Western sanctions against Russia against the background of the corona pandemic. It cannot be claimed that Germany as a whole, demanded the repeal of the sanctions against Russia, as Platzek's personal opinion is not an official Government position.
