DISINFO: The government in Kyiv is sabotaging peace in Donbas

The current government in Kyiv is a “party of war” and has always obstructed a peaceful settlement in the Donbas.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative (see previous cases about the Minsk agreements and the War in Ukraine). It was Russia that provoked a war in Ukraine. For background see here. In 2018, the EU condemned Russia’s support for the so-called “elections” on the occupied territories. The U.S. State Department also condemned Russia’s supportive actions. Earlier the U.S. Special Representative on Ukraine, Kurt Volker, mentioned that the so-called LNR and DNR “are entities created by Russia … to cement an ongoing conflict.” According to Volker, the purpose of the Minsk agreements is “to restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity and constitutional order.”
