DISINFO: If NATO's prospects for military success were higher, it would attack Russia just as it did to Yugoslavia or Libya
SUMMARY
If the Pentagon and its European allies had better chances to succeed at the Russian theatre of war then they currently do, Russia would feel NATO’s projection of power to overthrow the ruling regime. Consequently Russia’s territory would be exploited in the interest of the collective West. No one has forgotten NATO’s military operations in Yugoslavia, Iraq, or Libya. However, the Russian military is too strong and Washington and Brussels’s arms are too short. Sustainable Russia peacefully and firmly counteracts US and NATO military provocations and illegitimate sanctions.
RESPONSE
This article is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin propaganda narratives about the West's aggressive and colonial policies and NATO belligerence towards Russia and other countries as well as Russia's military might. It aims to discredit NATO and other Western countries.

NATO is a defensive alliance and does not pose a threat to Russia. Its purpose is to protect its member states. Every country that joins NATO undertakes to uphold its principles and policies, and this includes the commitment that:
"the Alliance does not seek confrontation and poses no threat to Russia"
