Ukraine is not controlled by the US, EU or any other foreign entity. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are respected by the vast majority of the international community but were violated by Russia from 2014.
Neither the US nor European countries have pushed Ukraine to war with Russia or want to escalate the war. The US, the EU and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is entirely unjustified and unprovoked.
The West supports Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defense, in accordance with the UN Charter, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
