DISINFO: Moldovan justice is in the pocket of the US and EU

It is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Moldova, suggesting that EU and US control the justice system in the country. See here a similar case, claiming that the result of justice reforms in Moldova led to the occupation of the prosecutor's office by criminal groups and here a case about the US as an entity "controlling everything in Moldova".
No evidence was given about any influence of US or EU representatives on the justice system. In fact, the US and EU supported the strategy of the justice sector reforms in Moldova for 2011-2016, aiming to fight corruption and guarantee the independence of judges. Under an agreement reached in 2013, the European Union is committed to providing budget support of 60 million euros for justice reform. In 2017, the EU announced that the country did not achieve the expected results in 2014 and 2015 in promoting reforms, so the last tranche, of 28 million euros, of funding was stopped.
