DISINFO: NATO promotes fascism in Europe and uses proxy wars to destroy Russia
SUMMARY
The Western strategy is very simple to understand: for NATO it is necessary to destroy Russia. The Collective West will not be satisfied as long as Russian territory remains unified. The plan of Western strategists is to create the necessary conditions for a territorial dismantling of Russia. Since Moscow's military capabilities and advanced levels of national integration and internal cohesion make this plan unrealistic, NATO and the Collective West rely on proxy wars and the promotion of fascism in Europe.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives portraying the war in Ukraine as a proxy war and blaming NATO and the so-called "Collective West" for it, accusing the EU of Nazism and claiming that Europe's aim is to invade and destroy Russia in the long run.
These claims are made in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and aim to deflect Russia’s responsibility for its aggression against this country.
The US, the EU and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is entirely unjustified and unprovoked. Not only Western but also many other nations around the world support Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
The EU had been trying to establish friendly relations with Moscow since the breakup of the former Soviet Union and until the Russian Federation illegally annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. International sanctions were imposed on Russia in the wake of that aggression. More restrictive measures were slapped on Russia after it attacked Ukraine on 24 February 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since the Second World War.
