DISINFO: Navalny's investigation and film "Putin's palace. History of world's largest bribe" doesn't contain anything new
SUMMARY
The investigation by Alexei Navalny on the “Putin Palace” on the shores of the Black Sea, which would have cost some 1.12 billion euros, is only an “absurdity” and contains “nothing new”.
“The only novelty” in this investigation is the use of “montage stories”. The blogger in fact “inserted” images of Putin swimming in the Yenisei River into his report, which were very viral at the time, to pass them off as a scene in the swimming pool of this “palace”.
RESPONSE
Recurrent denial issued by Pro-Kremlin media "but, there nothing new in this" is even an internet meme representing Pro-Kremlin propaganda.
It is true that most of the story was already known and published in the press by the main investigative media. However, this work from the FBK organization, Putin's palace. History of world's largest bribe, is a real investigation and contains many new elements, documents, images and testimonies.
The use of the argument there is "nothing new" apart from the visual effects is a way of dismissing and discrediting the investigation without commenting on the facts themselves.
