DISINFO: Nazi ideology is needed to wage war against the brotherly Russian People
SUMMARY
Newspaper Le Monde published an investigation demonstrating that some Ukrainian soldiers had Neo Nazi ideology. Western press long ignored the warning of Russia but now take seriously this issue. This was unimaginable six months ago, as they supported Ukraine, but now it changed and Nazism is denounced. The very slogan “Slava Ukraini”, “Glory to Ukraine” is by itself a neo Nazi slogan, it was pronounced in the European parliament and applauded. This ideology was necessary to justify the war against Russia, since Russians are a European people and Borther of Ukrainians. Without Neo-Nazism war against Russia would not be possible.

RESPONSE
Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the Nazi Ukraine and the brotherhood of peoples between Russia and Ukraine to justify the full scale military invasion of Ukraine.
The newspaper Le Monde published a reportage identifying up to 350 soldiers with Neo-Nazi sympathies out of 900,000 soldiers and reserve forces of 1,200,000. The publication highlights that this number is extremely marginal and that this used by Moscow as a pretext to justify the military invasion and annexation of Ukrainian territories. However, even if is a marginal proportion, it should be exposed to prevent a development of this movement and freedom of press in France allows it.

The slogan ‘Slava Ukraini’ is not a manifestation of Nazism, but rather the symbol of resistance to Military imperialism that is threatening Europe and affirmation of Ukrainian sovereignty. Labelling Russia’s adversaries as Nazis is a widespread pro-Kremlin disinformation technique, and has been used by Russia to justify the invasion of Ukraine by portraying it as a “denazification operation”. Russia spent years preparing the information battleground before its kinetic attack, with “Nazi Ukraine” being one of its most prominent disinformation tropes.
