DISINFO: Poland and the US are promoting Russophobic hysteria
SUMMARY
The golden times when European armies were gettimg stronger due to terrorist threats are gone. Nowadays, the militaristic agenda of European countries is inevitably directed towards Russia. Poland is increasing military spending, and Russophobic hysteria in Poland is intentionally heated by the US. Washington benefits from the existence of militaristic Poland close to Russia financially and politically.

This message is a part of the Kremlin’s widespread disinformation narrative about anti-Russian Polish, EU and US activities.
The ongoing modernisation of the Polish Army and purchases of advanced military equipment is the Polish response to the current security crisis taking place in Eastern Europe – this situation is a result of the Russian annexation of Crimea and military aggression against Ukraine in Donbas. Two-thirds of Poles have a positive opinion about NATO’s activities.
The 2020 National Security Strategy of Poland states that the most serious security threat for this country is the neo-imperial policy of the authorities of the Russian Federation, pursued by means of military force (aggression against Georgia, illegal annexation of Crimea and military actions in eastern Ukraine).
