RESPONSE
This message is part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism – it accuses Poland of the “falsification and re-writing” of WWII history. According to this policy, the Russian official historiography is the only “true” way of interpreting historical events for the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. In addition, the Polish authorities are repeatedly accused of Russophobia and the implementation of various anti-Russian policies. The official Polish perception of the events of WWII is based on facts, shared by the predominant majority of historians. Both Nazi Germany and the Stalinist USSR were harsh totalitarian regimes, which directly caused the deaths of tens of millions of people - these two regimes are mutually responsible for the outbreak of WWII, which started from the German-Soviet attack on Poland in September 1939. On September 1, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a quiz about the events of WWII. The Russian authorities officially protested against this quiz as it accused the USSR and Nazi Germany of causing the outbreak of WWII and the attack on Poland in September 1939. See similar examples of the Russian accusations against Poland in falsification and re-writing of history - Poland creates and promotes its historical myths in an active and aggressive way; Poland and Lithuania question the status of Russia as a country who won WWII; President Duda and President Zelensky promote propaganda and Poland tries to adjust history to politics, misinterpreting the historical facts.
