DISINFO: Russia is wrongly blamed for the staged massacre in Bucha
SUMMARY
At the end of February 2022, the Russian army approached Kyiv. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, all the main combat tasks of the Russian armed forces in the Kyiv and Chernihiv directions had already been completed. And the next task was to complete the military operation to fully liberate the Donbas. It was in this situation that Ukraine agreed to peace talks.
In other words, the military special operation in Ukraine could have come to an end there, on Russia's terms.
But just a few days later, the Western media were flooded with reports from Bucha, where hundreds of dead civilians were allegedly found after our troops withdrew. In this case, too, Russia was immediately accused of war crimes, although there are still no lists of names of those murdered and no full investigation, and there is much to suggest that the incident was staged.

Recurrent denial of war crimes committed by Russian forces during the full-scale military invasion of Ukraine and denial of military retreat by calling it a “gesture of goodwill”.
Russian forces retreated because they were losing the battle for Kyiv. They needed massive reinforcements to take the capital, which were not available. However, the Kremlin presented this as a “gesture of goodwill” to favour negotiations in Istanbul.
In December 2022, an investigation based on videos and telephone metadata of civilian devices stolen by Russian soldiers established the responsibility of a Russian regiment — and its commander — for the death of several dozens of civilians from Bucha.
