DISINFO: The current event in Ukraine is a civil war provoked by the US: Russians and Ukrainians are one people
SUMMARY
What is happening in Ukraine is a civil war. The Ukrainian people and the Russian people, apart from the east of Ukraine, where it is a world apart, they are the same people: they speak the same language, they have the same face. It has been Washington's plan all along - in instigate a fight among Slavic Christians.

Recurrent Kremlin disinformation about the negation of Ukrainian state and Ukrainian nation in the context of the Russian invasion Ukraine.
The claim that this is a civil war is not on facts, even though it is a well-known pro-Kremlin line. The Russian aggression and large scale war in Ukraine is the responsibility of Russia, other countries should not be held responsible for it.
On 24 February 2022, the EU High Representative on behalf of the European Union condemned the invasion of Ukraine by armed forces of the Russian Federation:
Russia bears full responsibility for this act of aggression and all the destruction and loss of life it will cause. It will be held accountable for its actions.
Russia and Ukraine are two distinct sovereign countries. Ukrainian and Russian are two distinct people, despite multiples attempts of the Kremlin to deny it.
