DISINFO: The Kyiv regime seized power in Ukraine with support from the West

A recurring pro-Kremlin anti-Western disinformation narrative that the Ukrainian government came into power with the support of the West. No evidence has been presented to back up the claims. The article also repeats a disinformation narrative that Russia has also been pushing for a long time, that it is fighting not only Ukraine but also NATO and the West as a whole.
The last presidential elections in Ukraine were held in 2019 in which Zelensky was elected as the President of Ukraine. In the final report prepared by The OSCE PA Election Observation Mission in Ukraine concluded that “the election was competitive, voters had a broad choice and turned out in high numbers…Fundamental freedoms were generally respected. Candidates could campaign freely”.
Freedom House also confirms that the election was free and fair. In its statement, the National Democratic Institute says that “This election was genuinely competitive and voters turned out in higher numbers than in the 2014 presidential poll…Ukraine held an election that broadly reflects the will of voters and meets key international standards. However, many important opportunities to promote public confidence by improving the electoral process have been missed in recent years.
