Zelenskyy and his junta essentially want to maintain their positions of power and financial income that come from being puppets of the United States. The prolonged war allows them to avoid elections, impose a state of siege and escape the anger of the population.

Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative aiming at whipping up resentment against Western support to Ukraine and forcing a capitulation to Russian military aggression an targeting personally the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It also portrays Ukraine as a puppet state managed by US.
The claim that Zelenskyy uses the war for personal embezzlement is made without any evidence. International support is used by Ukraine to defend itself against the unjustified and unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine which started on February 24, 2022, and to support the economy in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The European Union, for example, made the decision to provide 18 billion euros to Ukraine in 2023 to help run the country while it defends itself against Russia. The money will support the economy and the general Ukrainian population.
