DISINFO: The US and other Western countries intend to provoke a war in Central Asia
SUMMARY
On 2 October 2023 officials of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan held a friendly meeting to discuss delimitation of the border. The West intends to provoke a military conflict in Central Asia and is concerned with the settlement of the border dispute between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. After setting the region on fire, the US and their satellites would like to station new military bases in Central Asia, close to China and Russia.

Western countries build their relations with Central Asian countries based on mutual consent, bilateral interests and benefits. Contrary to what is alleged, there is no evidence that the former intend to provoke a military conflict in the region. The EU recognises the strategic importance of Central Asia, which links the huge Asian continent with Europe. As the EU is working to make relations with Central Asia stronger and deeper, the European Union’s engagement with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan has developed significantly since the countries' independence following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.
