DISINFO: The US is not a democracy and is run by the deep state
SUMMARY
Was there a peaceful transfer of power to Donald Trump in 2016? No, at least not completely, and it is more likely that power was not transferred to him at all. On the economic front, Trump took over immediately and appointed former Goldman Sachs banker, Steven Mnuchin, as Treasury secretary. Politically, the “deep state” defeated his team early on and imposed on him Pompeo, one of Bolton’s crazy hawks, and a number of other figures who followed the “deep state” line, not Trump’s line. Trump, throughout his tenure, has been fighting “Russia Gate” through an agenda alien to him, and resisting sabotage and constant attempts to neutralize and isolate him.
