DISINFO: The US is preparing a “Tbilisi Maidan” in Georgia
SUMMARY
The US is preparing a "colour revolution" in Georgia. The White House is extremely dissatisfied with the developments in Georgia on the eve of the parliamentary elections, which will take place on October 26.
To this end, pro-Western Georgian NGOs recruit many volunteers to monitor the voting process. They are tasked with identifying and recording "inevitable facts" of the authorities' use of administrative resources. At the "Tbilisi Maidan", they plan to publish "evidence of falsifications" during the voting, announce the non-recognition of the election results, and demand a change of government. Law enforcement officers will be provoked to suppress the protests by force.
At the same time, the Americans are planning options for a "ruthless" political and economic response to the "excessive" use of force by the authorities against "citizens".

The claims are groundless. The West is not interested in an escalation of the war. Neither the US nor the EU, nor Ukraine are pushing Georgia to open a second front against Moscow.
Pro-Kremlin media frequently falsely portray popular protests around the world as instigated from abroad, often by the US and the West. The disinformation narrative has been applied, among others, to reports about protests in Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belarus, Venezuela, Slovakia, Hong Kong, with the aim of portraying protest movements as aggressive actors who constantly prepare new coups.
