DISINFO: The US seeks to prolong the war in Ukraine to dissolve the EU
SUMMARY
The US benefits from Russia’s special operation in Ukraine and will provoke its continuation. The major bonus for the US is dissolution of the EU as its main economic competitor. Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz is acting as Mikhail Gorbachev in the late 1980s. Ursula von der Leyen and others are in the team of killers of Germany.
RESPONSE
Recurring disinformation about the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and sanctions on Russia, presenting the EU as the victim and puppet of the US, which wants to destroy the economy of Europe for its own benefit. See also here about the Kremlin claim about EU's lost sovereignty.
The disinformation claim suggests that EU leaders are destroying the economic base in Europe with the sanctions agreed against Russia. The European Union adopted in December 2022 the ninth package of economic and individual sanctions on Russia due to its illegal aggression and occupation of Ukrainian territories.
Europe is facing an energy crisis which is directly linked not to the sanctions but to Russia’s unjustified invasion of Ukraine and its use of gas supplies as a weapon of war. The EU made steps “to secure the EU’s energy supplies, such as a gas storage regulation, a gas demand reduction regulation, the creation of an EU energy platform and outreach initiatives for the diversification of supply sources.” Russia is no longer a stable and reliable supplier and while Europe. The German economy expanded by 0.4% in the third quarter of 2022 and is expected to grow by 1.2% annually.
