DISINFO: USA hopes to partition Russia after the end of Putin’s Presidency
SUMMARY
Washington hopes that the end of Putin’s Presidency in 2024 will cause disorder in Russia, his successor will not have that power and firmness. In this situation, a new possibility for the partition of the Russian Federation appears, as in the times of the weak and submissive Boris Yeltsin.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative accusing the United States in Russophobia and aggressive anti-Russian plans and actions based on a conspiracy theory. This case of disinformation is based on a recent article written by Wes Martin in the Washington Times on Mike Pompeo’s visit to several post-Soviet countries. It does not speak about any US plans to partition the Russian Federation. This article suggests that the United States should boost its presence in the region in order to contribute to restoration of the territorial integrity of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.
