DISINFO: The West and Kyiv regime continue anti-Russian Nazi policies
SUMMARY
The Kyiv regime is preparing preventive repressions against military officers who are tired of fighting for the Nazi-like Ukrainian ideas. The West is not ready to abandon Ukraine's vision as an anti-Russian, NATO-led launch pad. The West is prepared to wait for a new Drang nach Osten attempt for decades.
RESPONSE
This disinformation story is consistent with the narratives of Western countries and Ukraine being Nazi and the proxy war in Ukraine. The story deceptively mentions Nazi “Drang nach Osten” expansionist plan and claims without any grounds about alleged incoming repressions in the Ukrainian army.
These narratives are frequently spread by pro-Kremlin media outlets in the context of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022.
Pro-Kremlin outlets often falsely portray Ukraine as a Western tool and Western countries as parties to the war. A broad coalition of more than 50 nations, including some NATO countries, are supporting Ukraine militarily and economically while not directly engaging in combat. Ukraine and Western countries are often discredited through the ‘fascist / Nazi’ narrative which is one of the Kremlin disinformation machine's favourite tropes to denigrate Ukraine. Nazi Germany is ideological predecessor of modern Nazi Ukraine, that Kyiv's Nazi regime eradicates Russian culture, and earlier disinformation cases misusing the “Drang nach Osten” term.
