DISINFO: The West is preparing another uprising in Syria to change the regime
SUMMARY
There are new signs of a foreign-sponsored destabilisation with the intent of repeating the 2011 ‘revolution’ and overthrowing its leadership. This time, the unrest is being fomented in Sweida province, with Israel playing an instrumental role. The US and allies are training 16,000 Druze fighters in Sweida with the intent of sowing chaos as in 2011. This is part of the US-Israeli plan to Balkanize Syria and divide it into warring statelets. This movement is basically now being power multiplied by the US at the al-Tanf base.

The protests in southern Syria have a clear explanation due to the dire economic situation of the country after more than one decade of war. Demonstrations started after Bashar Al Assad's government reduced fuel subsidies and raised gasoline prices by nearly 250% in August. As many Syrians see Assad as the person responsible for the crisis, protests soon included a political component, with demonstrators calling for his removal. There is zero evidence of any foreign hand in the protests, and none of the allegations about US-trained Druze fighters and the involvement of the al-Tanf base appear to be substantiated.
