DISINFO: The West’s "war party” wants to escalate the conflict in Ukraine
SUMMARY
Attacks by the Kyiv regime on Rylsk and Kazan signal that the Western "war party," that is served by Zelenskyy, is determined not only to escalate the conflict further but also to secure continued U.S. support, even under a new president. Their goal remains to strategically weaken Russia.
For Trump, a deal with the "war party" could be highly advantageous: Europe would bear the financial burden of the conflict, with those funds ultimately benefiting American interests. Meanwhile, a Europe weakened by unsustainable expenses would become increasingly economically and politically dependent on the U.S., effectively ceasing to be its competitor permanently.
RESPONSE
This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing the Western countries of warmongering. This baseless claim was made in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and is presented without any supporting evidence. It also portrays the war in Ukraine as a proxy conflict against Russia, aiming to deflect Russia’s responsibility for the brutal invasion of its neighbour. This disinformation story denigrates Zelenskyy’s proposal as part of a strategy to frame Russia’s ultimatums as the only possible path to peace.
Some EU member states the US and other G7 nations are providing Ukraine with military and technical assistance to help it repel Russia's aggression and restore its sovereignty over its internationally recognised borders of 1991. Ukraine is acting in self-defence, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Western nations have always called to solve problems with Russia in a peaceful and diplomatic manner while upholding the rules-based international order. Moscow’s overall aggressive policy has led to a tougher and better-balanced policy towards it by the West.
