DISINFO: Trump’s claims of foreign interference in 2020 are as absurd as where those of the Democrats in 2016

Trump’s legal team is claiming that the 2020 election was manipulated by Cuba, Venezuela and even China through a software in the counting machines. In previous elections, US Democrats also made claims about alleged interference that were disproven afterwards. The situation is similar to the one we had four years ago, with all the talk about Russia and its hackers. All these absurdities depend at the end of who may believe them, who they reach and in which way. At the end, every side tries to take advantage of all this. What can be the feeling of a US voter who has been for eight years living these soap operas, this kind of situations, in which there hasn’t been a clean election in which the process hasn’t been muddied?

Recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative denying Russia’s meddling in foreign elections despite overwhelming evidence, both in the US and in other countries. Contrary to the claim, Russian interference in the 2016 US election was widely documented by special counsel Robert Mueller and by a 5-volume series of reports by the Intelligence Committee of the US Senate. By comparing it to the allegations of the legal team of US president Donald Trump, which presented no evidence to support them and whose claims were immediately debunked, pro-Kremlin media try to frame it as a partisan issue and a matter of biased opinion, not of facts.
