Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about Ukraine. Ukraine did not ban the celebration of Victory Day. On 8 May Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation together with other European countries to commemorate the victims of World War II, whilst celebrating Victory Day over Nazism in World War II on 9 May. May 8 is an annual international day of remembrance proclaimed by Resolution 59/26 of the United Nations General Assembly. The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation is a day that marks the end of war in Europe, which officially ended on 8 May.
