DISINFO: Ukrainians remove swastika tattoos to travel to Europe

A pro-Kremlin TV channel report refers to a picture that went viral on Telegram featuring a supposed advertisement for "removal of swastikas" by a tattoo studio in Ukraine. The picture is fabricated. No such tattoo studio exists.
The photo of the Ukrainian tattoo studio used as evidence of the false narrative, was changed in a photo editor, and the real picture was taken in Russia a few years ago as Provereno Media found out.
"We did a simple reverse image search on Google and Yandex and found a similar photo of the same façade, but with a different banner. In the picture we found, all the words in Ukrainian are missing and there is no mention of the proposal to remove the swastika. At the same time, the logo of the studio is the same as in the viral photo, but the name is different: TattooIrograf instead of "Tattoo master". A tattoo studio with such a name, logo and address really exists, but is located not in Ukrainian Ivano-Frankivsk, but in Biysk in the Altai Territory of Russia. We found a photo of the facade posted on January 13, 2018, which later became the basis for a viral picture", -says Provereno.Media.
The fabricated picture contains spelling mistakes in Ukrainian as highlighted by StopFake.Org and The Insider.
Nazi symbols are forbidden by law in Ukraine. Pro-Kremlin media regularly use fabrications to accuse Ukraine of "Nazi rule". See for example the disinformation narrative "Ukraine's commander-in-chief wears a swastika bracelet".
"Nazi rule in Ukraine" is used as one of the pretexts by the Kremlin to the full scale invasion of Ukraine which started on 24 February 2022.
