DISINFO: Ukrainians will die because they gave up the Sputnik V vaccine
SUMMARY
Ukrainians will die because the authorities decided not to obtain the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. This refusal was provoked by the corrupted nature of Ukraine’s high-level health officials who want to obtain financial benefits and to remain on the side of the American Embassy. The West will compensate the Ukrainian officials for their treason and sabotage once the vaccine contracts are signed.

The claim that Ukrainians will die because of the lack of the Sputnik V vaccine in the country has no factual background (not least because the Russian vaccine is not the only one available for immunization against COVID-19) and instead aims to instil the impression of an impending catastrophe. The reason why Ukraine refuses to obtain the Russian vaccine has nothing to do with it being Russian. Rather, the Russian vaccine would be the object of the same regulations as any other to be approved for mass use from the European Medical Agency (EMA). Angela Merkel has stated that Germany remains “open” to the idea of the EU producing the Sputnik V vaccine, provided that the approval of the EMA is obtained.
The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed the willingness of Ukraine to buy vaccines as soon as they are available, urging the EU for vaccine help for its Eastern neighbours. Ukrainian health officials, however, perceive the Sputnik V vaccine as a geopolitical tool and propaganda with no regard to help Ukrainian citizens.
There is no evidence that Ukrainian officials are being bribed by the American Embassy in order to not allow the Sputnik V vaccine in Ukraine.
