DISINFO: US behind all coup d'etats and it destroyed Afghanistan
SUMMARY
The United States is involved in all revolutions and coup d'etats in the world. The Middle East is in this situation because of the US. It also destroyed Afghanistan for 20 years, not supporting the development of the country.
RESPONSE
A disinformation narrative falsely accuses the USA of being responsible for all revolutions and coup d'etats (including the current situation in the Middle East) as well as neglecting Afghanistan's development.
Pro-Kremlin media frequently falsely portray popular protests around the world as instigated from abroad, often by the US and the West. The disinformation narrative has been applied, among others, to reports about protests in Georgia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belarus, Venezuela, Slovakia, Hong Kong, with the aim of portraying protest movements as aggressive actors who constantly prepare new coups.
Regarding the claims about Afghanistan, in reality, throughout the two decades of U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, significant efforts were committed to reconstruction, development, and nation-building. This involvement included substantial investments in infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and highways, notably the Kabul-Kandahar Highway and the Ring Road project. These efforts, often in collaboration with USAID, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank, aimed to enhance transportation networks, stimulate economic growth, and improve regional connectivity.
Additionally, the U.S. supported educational initiatives, including the construction and renovation of schools, crucial for increasing access to education and fostering stability. In the agricultural sector, U.S. projects provided resources and training to farmers, vital for a predominantly agrarian economy.
