DISINFO: US labs in Ukraine are military bases
SUMMARY
American laboratories in Ukraine are military bases for the United States. These laboratories receive tasks from the US Department of Defense. The issue of placing these dangerous objects on Ukrainian territory concern Washington more than Ukrainian authorities, which is shown by the fact that the US Embassy in Kyiv answered the questions of Ukrainian MPs about the labs before Ukrainian officials did so.

On the contrary, in Ukraine, the US Department of Defense’s Biological Threat Reduction Program works with the Ukrainian Government to consolidate and secure pathogens and toxins of security concern in Ukrainian government facilities while allowing for peaceful research and vaccine development. "We also work with our Ukrainian partners to ensure Ukraine can detect and report outbreaks caused by dangerous pathogens before they pose security or stability threats," the US Embassy stated. The Embassy added that the claims mirror Russian disinformation. Under the agreement signed by Ukraine's Health Ministry and the US Department of Defense in 2005, numerous Ukrainian laboratories were modernised. The laboratories work transparently. There is no evidence that these labs function as US military bases.
