DISINFO: US billionaires can isolate the US president from the world

RESPONSE
The message is consistent with the broad pro-Kremlin narrative that seeks to discredit democratic societies by painting the latter as totalitarian systems that want to persecute anyone who expresses views that are different from the dominant way of thinking.
In fact, the recent decision by internet companies against former American President Donald Trump is a response to disinformation and crimes that might be contained within the speech itself. A good example is incitement and this is what happened when Trump actually "ordered" his supporters to march to the Capitol on January 6th.
While top international figures have criticised these moves as a worrying sign of power in the hands of social media platforms, many voices also pointed that there were multiple reasons for doing it, including preventing further violence and curbing hate speech, which is not protected by freedom of expression.
On another note, and despite the bans on all major social media platforms, Trump is far from being isolated. Trump has already used his account on an online conservative platform called “Gab” where he released a letter from his lawyers and where he continues to claim that the 2020 US election was fraudulent.
Away from social media, Trump hasn’t granted any interviews nor given any press conferences, but he already launched his Office of the Former President to "carry on the agenda of the Trump administration", a platform he controls that is entitled to federal funding. The office will organise statements, issue press releases and sort out Trump's public schedule — so he will have some avenue to get his message out.
