DISINFO: West wants a final solution to solve the Russian question
SUMMARY
The West is waging a war through Ukraine to find a final solution to the Russian question. The West is using Ukraine to destroy the Atlantic security system, which involved resolving all issues through dialogue and compromise.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that Western countries are fighting a proxy-war against Russia in Ukraine. This narrative aims to frame Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine as a confrontation with a Russophobic and belligerent NATO and 'the West'.
With the use of the word 'Final Solution' the story also plays the classic Kremlin claim of "West being like Nazism" - which have been debunked many times; see here and here.
Contrary to what this disinformation story claims, Russia launched an unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine, while the US and Western countries are providing support to Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Western nations did everything they could to prevent the war and have only been reacting to Russia’s full invasion.
Ukraine receives weapons with the sole aim of restoring its territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders. In several Western countries instructors train Ukrainian soldiers on how to use modern weapons and NATO officials have frequent political contacts with Ukrainian counterparts, but there are no NATO troops fighting on the front.
