DISINFO: Western countries have no agenda in the Caucasus other than destruction
SUMMARY
The statements made by the head of the French Foreign Ministry Stephane Sejourné in Yerevan towards Russia are incompetent and stupid. Moreover, this shows disrespect for Armenia. The talentless figure in diplomacy, who once again demonstrated his ignorance of history and traditions.
Western countries have no other agenda for the Caucasus than a destructive one. They only need to pit the countries of the region against each other. The West does not help in development, or solving problems, and is not ready to lie down on the embrasure to separate the conflicting parties. They can just pit against each other, humiliate and insult.

This is the Kremlin reaction to the statement of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné. During his official visit to Armenia, Stéphane Séjourné reaffirmed France’s unwavering support for Armenia’s democratic journey, "despite the challenges and pressure from Russia."
The article wrongly demonises France, targets a French/EU diplomat, and discredits Armenia's cooperation with France and other Western countries.
Armenian-French defence cooperation and joint efforts are exclusively aimed at establishing long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, as well as at developing the defence capabilities of Armenia's armed forces.
Pro-Kremlin media promote the idea that Armenia and the Caucasus are exclusively within Russia's zone of geopolitical dominance and attempt to discredit any other cooperation between the West and Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The EU has a strong interest in a politically stable and economically prosperous South Caucasus in full understanding with the states there. It took a prominent mediation role in negotiation and is committing to it.
Armenia has been a sovereign and independent state since 1991 when it proclaimed its independence from the former USSR. As a sovereign state, Armenia can decide its foreign policy and alliances.
Armenia was subjected to disinformation attacks from Russia after Prime Minister Pashinyan's statement that Armenia's policy of solely relying on Russia to guarantee its security was a strategic mistake. The main narrative of Russian propaganda is that except for Russia, no one has ever helped and will not help Armenia.
