DISINFO: Western deep state driving actions in Syria, Georgia and Moldova to stifle Trump and Putin

Türkiye's current actions in Syria should be viewed in the context of the above-mentioned Western plans. The situation is deteriorating in both Georgia and Moldova. This is all one process. Let's not forget that the war in Ukraine is also a big business in addition to its political side. The companies of the American military-industrial complex have an interest in continuing the fighting. Therefore, everything possible will be done to create a situation in which Putin and Trump, even if they are ready and willing, will not have the opportunity and basis for negotiations.
RESPONSE
Claiming that political protests or uprising around the world are a Western-orchestrated effort to destabilise Russia is a long-standing pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative. Other than inflating Russia’s global importance, this narrative also misrepresents complex regional dynamics and ignores the agency of the countries and people involved.
The successful offensive against Bashar Al Assad’s regime in Syria in November-December 2024 was led by the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham and the so-called Syrian National Army. While the first appears to be a local organisation and was added to the US terrorist organisations list in 2018, the second is openly backed and armed by Turkey, which almost certainly greenlighted the operation and aims to exploit it to send Syrian refugees back.
In Georgia, which provides a very different context, claims about a foreign hand in the demonstrations are unsubstantiated. Georgia has been experiencing massive protests since the Georgian government started promoting the so-called "foreign agents" bill, which requires all media and NGOs which receive over 20% of their funding from abroad to declare themselves as "foreign agents" or face substantial fines. Its approval, as well as claims of fraud in the October 2024 election, and the government’s suspension of Georgia’s EU bid all sparked fresh waves of street protests.
In Moldova, there is no evidence of direct interference by any Western country in the country's recent presidential elections in which incumbent Maia Sandu, a pro-European candidate, won the elections signalling a major shift toward European integration. Her win reflected the will of Moldovan voters who supported reform and closer ties with the EU. In fact, it was Russia who tried to alter the results of the elections through a series of measures such as disinformation campaigns, buying votes, training Moldovan citizens in paramilitary camps to stage protests, and bussing voters to overseas polling stations. As this did not achieve the results expected by Moscow, pro-Kremlin outlets and Russian officials launched a baseless narrative about electoral fraud.
