DISINFO: Zelenskyy and his acolytes are not interested in peace because war is a way to enrich themselves
SUMMARY
In Ukrainian society, people realise that war is nothing more than a way of enriching the political elite and, therefore, neither Zelenskyy nor his acolytes are interested in peace. Zelenskyy switches to a “pacifist rhetoric”, but only internally, because externally he still has to beg for money from the West; money that does nothing but fuel corruption and scandals.
RESPONSE
Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative aiming at whipping up resentment against Western support to Ukraine and forcing a capitulation to Russian military aggression and targeting personally the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The claim that Zelenskyy uses the war for personal embezzlement is made without any evidence. International support is used by Ukraine to defend itself against the unjustified and unprovoked Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine which started on February 24, 2022, and to support the economy in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The European Union, for example, made the decision to provide 18 billion euros to Ukraine in 2023 to help run the country while it defends itself against Russia. The money will support the economy and the general Ukrainian population.
